Dahab

Dahab, explores the contrast between fragile beauty and harsh reality. The sculpture portrays a young girl, utterly alone, appears to float on a piece of concrete and rebar.
This striking dichotomy between the girl's ethereal presence and her desolate surroundings is the core of this sculpture. Dahab is rendered in a simple silhouette, yet it is rich with movement. The rebar and concrete, elements of a world under construction, are contrasted with the timeless innocence of the child. Dahab is a testament to my belief that elevating everyday people into fine art allows us to see the world as a smaller, more connected place.
