History

My earlier work in realism sought to unify human experience through shared gestures and humanity across cultures. I sought to elevate and express the far corners of our planet. With Drift, I distill that lifelong study into abstraction. Each piece becomes a vessel for transition—the quiet second of commitment, when stillness yields to momentum, when the breath ends in ecstasy.

H

Film

I was trained as a professional sculptor for hire. Aside from more recent commission work or art where I help an artist realize their vision I have made a number of characters you may have seen for the silver screen. Aslan in the Chronicles of Narnia “The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe” the donkey dragons from Shrek and even Aliens from District 9.

F

Travel

When I focus on the foundation on which I have built my artistic career these films and many more had me sculpting for decades before I took control of my own future. I have travelled the world several times and made it a priority to seek out the local art as well as museums scattered globally. This constant pursuit of understanding and questioning just as artists like Picasso, Henry Moore and Gerhart Richter have done, have compelled me into the abstract.

T

Drift

There is not a moment that goes by when my hand touches clay that I do not have an emotion I am trying to express. The Drift Series simply are those emotions.
